The goods as you can see from the video, that technology enables children with developmental disabilities to perform tasks in which they could not have done before. Communication was a huge barrier for Autistic children and now with the advances of technology children are able to communicate the many feelings, sightings, and findings that cross their mind.
The bad displayed in this WALL-E clip; humans failing in their health, not even living on our planet. This is a scenery that is completely possible. I do not think this is how we will end up; cruising the galaxy in a space cruise ship. I think that it was a good idea to throw the possibility out there, so that kids and adults can see that it is possible and that they should change their "evil" ways now. This movie may captivate a part of America but for the rest of the world, I think most are starving.
The options of where to spend your money in school are endless. I have chosen the new way and the old way. I am choosing to see what technology has in store for a field of work that is ancient in time. Without the ability to grow food in one area (agriculture) our ancient ancestors scavenged and searched, hunted and gathered. This caused many to die in the hunt, and many to die because the hunt was not successful enough to last all winter. We with our developing brains were able to figure out the technology of growing food in one area. obviously in order to maintain any type of balance there has to be two sides. This new technology gave people the ability to survive and maintain leading us from pacts to villages to towns to cities and now look at us. The biggest difference is these things were developed over thousands of years. We now have the ability to bring a city back to life in weeks and months. I witnessed this right after Hurricane Katrina. I went in 2006 to Mardi Gras and it was as if nothing even happened to Jackson Square or to Bourbon Street. I was told storefronts and buildings were washed out and tore apart but there was hardly a sign anything had even occurred.
What it comes down to is; we cannot get away from it, it is the future of our lives, there is always a bad side to a good and vice-versa, all in all we have depended on the development of technology since the beginning of time. The differences were stated and the comparisons too! I think if you are scared of technology you have been stuck in a hole somewhere or just came out of a South American jungle. As for most I think that we will continue to toast the advances we have made in technology.
