I do not know if I will continue to write on my blog. If I do continue to write, I know I will write less formally knowing it won't be graded. I feel like I held back a lot of my opinion due to the fact I thought it would be inappropriate. I think that would be my biggest complaint that I couldn't be as fowl as I might usually be.
In comparison to Blogger compared to my Facebook, I definitely held back a lot. I had less people to judge me on Blogger yet I held back foul language and my ultimate opinion on most things. I think the blog helped me be more subtle.
All in all I would have to say that Blogger is a good idea to explore your writing and develop a tech savvy but educated point of writing. I appreciate knowing how to participate in a blog and I now feel that I might start a different one with a more personal side, focusing on one subject more than multiple.

You're right. In a professional/casual blog, you do have to be more subtle with tone but that does not mean that you have to necessarily hold back on your opinions - only that you have to be more aware of the rhetoric that you use to express them.
